On a visit to Kyiv, President Duda repeated Poland’s support for the liberation of all Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine, including Crimea.
The opposition warns that the chamber will simply be replaced by another that serves a similar purpose.

Poland’s president also hit out at Germany’s slow delivery of weapons to Ukraine and its prioritisation of business interests.
Poland also hopes to begin importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Egypt.

The two neighbours also agreed to lobby for Ukraine’s EU membership.

Duda was already becoming more assertive when the Russian invasion gave him a chance to carve out a new role.

“Just as we saw a destroyed plane then [in 2010], today we also see a destroyed Ukraine,” declared Andrzej Duda.
