On a quarterly basis, the Polish economy shrank in the second quarter by 2.3%.

Poland has overtaken Portugal on Eurostat’s measure of GDP per capita taking account of purchasing power standards.
But it will also have the EU’s joint third highest GDP growth, according to new forecasts from the European Commission.
The prime minister and ruling party chairman say that a new government economic programme will help Poland catch up.
Debt is forecasted to reach 1.5 trillion zloty by the end of 2021.
