The role

As Notes from Poland moves to the next stage of its development, we are looking for a well-organised, highly motivated and talented person to join our small team and oversee the administration and growth of our organisation.

In the six years since its founding, NfP has established itself as the leading independent English-language source of news and analysis on Poland. As a non-profit media outlet, we have been entirely funded so far by grants and reader donations.

However, in the near future, we will, in addition to those sources of funding, also be looking to add revenue from new activities – such as advertising, strategic partnerships, events and providing expertise – that will support the statutory activity and goals of our non-profit foundation.

A central task for the person chosen for this role will be to coordinate these developments, meaning, among other things: liaising with the foundation’s board on strategic direction; helping implement our development plan; maintaining contact with partners and staff; and overseeing grant applications.

They will also be responsible for dealing with day-to-day general administrative duties such as correspondence, workflow management, and liaising with accountants.

Our organisation

Published by a non-profit foundation, our aim is to help the world understand Poland through high-quality, comprehensive and balanced reporting on Polish current affairs, politics, history, business, culture, and more.

We reach a large, international readership, with our primary audiences in Poland, the US, the UK and countries of the European Union. Our readers include a range of stakeholders in Poland, including diplomats, politicians, academics, and employees at international institutions and NGOs.

The successful candidate will be joining a small team, but one that punches well above its weight in terms of productivity and impact.

Applying

To apply for the position, please send:

  • a covering letter briefly explaining your relevant experience and outlining why you want to work with Notes from Poland (one page maximum)
